Yellow Firebrick

(often referred to as cream, buff, or golden firebrick) is the ultimate workhorse of the refractory world. While red firebricks are great for standard residential use, yellow firebricks are generally the gold standard when it comes to higher purity, superior temperature ratings, and industrial-strength thermal performance.

Feature Red Firebrick Standard Red Building Brick
Heat Resistance Superior resistance: Up to 1400°C – 1650°C (2500°F – 3000°F+). Will crack or explode at high temperatures due to trapped moisture.
Weight & Density Extremely heavy, highly dense, and chemically stable. Lighter, more porous.
Texture Smooth, highly uniform, with very sharp, precise edges for micro-joints. Can be rough, sandy, or irregular.
